HandheldFury is a repository of scanned back issues of video game magazines such as Nintendo Power, GamePro, Playstation Magazine, etc. What's the point? In order to document, preserve, and share certain pages of these wonderful magazines for the current generation of gamers as well as to provide nostalgia for those born in the 70's and 80's. Currently, all scans will have some relevance to handheld gaming. If you have back issues you'd like to send my way, or a particular page from an issue near and dear to you, please contact me.

Front cover to issue 91 of Official U.S. Playstation Magazine circa 2005. This issue featured, and celebrated, the launch of the PSP!
Front cover to Volume 3 of Nintendo Power Advance circa 2001. This issue featured Golden Sun, Wario Land 4, Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Breath of Fire.
Front cover to Volume 2 of Nintendo Power Advance. Throwback to a classic and the first Mario Kart on a handheld, Mario Kart: Super Circuit! Plus features for Advance Wars, & Super Street Fighter II.
Crashing the Color Barrier! This gem is from the May ‘95 issue of GamePro and features the Super Game Boy player for the SNES. I love how Nintendo was always ahead of the curve in regards to game compatibility and innovation. The Super Game Boy was simple enough and just worked. It didn’t require you to add a bunch of cords or wires to the system, just a simple cartridge adapter. Although I never owned one of these, it would have been very cool to enjoy the Game Boy games on the big screen.
And the front cover to Nintendo Power Advance Issue V.1.
This first issue had features for Super Mario Advance, F-Zero, Rayman Advance, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, & Castlevania: Circle Of The Moon, along with a buyer’s guide.
Back Cover of the First Issue of Nintendo Power Advance from 2001.
